This course is designed to introduce the skills and strategies needed to successfully undertake the IELTS test, either general or academic modules for those whom are seeking further academic studies or migration related goals. The skills and strategies are developed using a broad range of reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, utilizing both theoretical and practical applications.
This is achieved by working from a core textbook and doing various in class activities to practice all the necessary skills. Mock tests are given regularly as well to monitor progress.
IELTS students must have attained at least a pre-intermediate level of English for the general module and and intermediate level according to the Common European Framework of reference of Languages (CERF B1). This is equivalent to approximately a 4.0 and 4.5 IELTS band score, respectively.
